Our Story

Taiso Gymnastics Club was founded in 2024 with a vision to provide professional gymnastics coaching in a supportive and encouraging environment. We've grown into a thriving community in Swansea, now serving over 390 young gymnasts across 27 classes per week.

Our club is built on the principles of discipline, achievement, and community. We believe gymnastics is more than just flips and routines, it's about building confidence, resilience, and life skills that extend far beyond the gym.

Today, Taiso stands as a testament to what happens when passion meets professional coaching. We're proud to be part of so many young gymnasts' journeys, from their first cartwheel to their first somersault.

Jason Wink

Co-Director & Founder

Jason is the founder and Co-Director of Taiso Gymnastics Club. A former British Gymnastics Champion and Commonwealth Games team member, Jason brings over 35 years of experience teaching gymnastics to all ages and abilities.

He served as National Coach for both Wales and Zimbabwe, and holds a High Performance Coach qualification, the highest level of coaching certification in British Gymnastics.

Sam Wink

Co-Director

Sam is Co-Director of Taiso Gymnastics Club, overseeing day-to-day operations, coaching, and the club's long-term development. A former Welsh national gymnast, Sam trained 20+ hours per week from age 6 to 12, competing at national level and winning medals throughout his career.

He holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Astrophysics from Cardiff University, bringing focus, patience, and a systematic approach to helping every child develop at their own pace.
